During the request, donate and suggest process, you have opportunities to write tributes to the books that matter to you. A tribute can be short or long-- from a few words to half a page.
In the "talk" section, you can keep the conversation going by commenting constructively on other members’ tributes.
Some example tributes:
My grandmother can’t fly, but I wish she could. Every first grader I have read this book to wants to see all the details of the city abuela and her granddaughter fly over.
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian
My kids love this book as much as my adult friends. In fact, my adult friends borrowed it from my kids and wouldn’t return it. Junior matters in the way that Holden Caulfield mattered in "Catcher in the Rye."
A wise spider with a whole family of remarkable, magical sons. This was my favorite book as a kid, and when I look at the moon I still think about the prize Anansi gave to his sons.
The Man-Eating Tigers of the Sundarbans
Tigers. Mangrove swamps. The ocean-river-forest landscape between Bangladesh and India. Nonfiction as compelling as any novel.
